Workshop Highlights: LEGO Storytelling & Animation

Day 1 – Build a LEGO Scene

On the first day, kids dive into building captivating storytelling scenes. Each group will receive LEGO base plates and tubs filled with colourful bricks to spark creativity.

Working together, they’ll create unique scenes that will become part of our public window display for everyone to enjoy and celebrate.

This day is all about brainstorming, teamwork, and bringing ideas to life brick by brick. It’s a fantastic opportunity for kids to learn problem-solving, collaboration, and the basics of visual storytelling.

Day 2 – Animate Your Story with LEGO Stop-Motion

🕙 Time: 10am – 4pm

On Day 2, the magic of animation begins! Kids will transform their scenes from static builds to animated stories using stop-motion animation techniques. With guidance from our experienced instructors, they’ll learn the basics of stop-motion, frame-by-frame animation, and how to add dynamic movement to their LEGO characters and props.

Once the animations are complete, the builds will be added to our public window display, creating an opportunity for everyone in North Sydney to enjoy their work.

During this day, kids will focus on attention to detail and patience, as they work toward the rewarding experience of seeing their creations come to life. Ultimately, their efforts will be showcased, giving them the chance to take pride in their hard work and creativity.
